  1. Welcome to Mutimedia Dreams for the IBM PC and Compatibles.
  2.  
  3. These images are for use in your existing DTP (desktop publishing) applications, 
  4. word processors, multimedia presentations or any other usage that you might 
  5. come up with.
  6.  
  7. To Use:
  8.  
  9.     * Insert the Mutimedia Dreams CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
  10.     * Double-click on the Mutimedia Dreams desktop icon that appears. 
  11.     This will open the CD for use with the image browser or to use the images 
  12.     directly.
  13.  
  14.     * Viewing the catalog:
  15.     Open, view and print the Mutimedia Dreams image catalog in the "Catalog"
  16.     folder.  First open the "Catalog" folder and install the Acrobat reader
  17.     (unless you already have it installed). 
  18.     Then double click on the "DreamsCat.pdf".
  19.  
  20.   With the image browser:
  21.  
  22.     * Double-click on the Mutimedia Dreams icon.
  23.     * On the opening screen you will see buttons that will navigate you to
  24.      the pages that allow you to access the images by categories, you can
  25.      also access these screens by using the Categories menu.
  26.     * Or  use one of the other buttons:  Print Image List - used to print the 
  27.      names and the locations for the files on the disc.  Search for an Image 
  28.      - use this to search for images containing words or parts of words in 
  29.      their names.  Image Slide Show - use this to see a slide show of all of 
  30.      the images on the disc, press 'esc' to stop.  *When you have navigated 
  31.      to the category page that you want to be at you have several options at 
  32.      your disposal: Image Slide Show - plays a slide show of the images in 
  33.      this category, 'esc'  to stop. Copy Image to Clipboard - use this to copy
  34.      your selected image to the clipboard for pasting in other applications.  
  35.      Print Selected Image - use this to print the selected image.  Print Image 
  36.      List - use this to print a list of the images in this category.Click on a
  37. line 
  38.      in anyof the lists and they will open up and select an image.
  39.  
  40. NOTE: The images that you get with the copy button in the browser will give you
  41. images in 8-bit color depth.  To get the 24-bit images use the following methods:
  42.  
  43.     * Open up the application of your choice with a new document.
  44.     * Import or place the image as detailed in the application's documentation.
  45.  
  46. Organization::
  47.  
  48.     the images are organized into the following category directories located 
  49.     in the TIFF directory (24-bit tiff).
